We are seeking a seasoned Principal Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to work on validating core networking, security features & solution testing in the SD-WAN team.As a Principal Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be part of a world-class software engineering team that works on various groundbreaking technologies in the SD-WAN area. You will work with a multi-functional team of engineers solving interesting problems.Your primary responsibility will be to contribute in all phases of end-to-end product and solution validation. You will also work closely with PM, TME, Customer support teams to understand customer use cases and with different development and quality assurance groups to achieve the best quality.You will suggest and implement improvements to the QA process and work with DevOps and the Technical Support teams to troubleshoot customer issues. As a leader, you will lead technical discussions, mentor junior team members, and support customer deployments as needed.To succeed in this role, you should have at least 10 to 18 years of relevant experience, with a BS or MS degree. You must have expertise with standard TCP/IP protocols such as ARP, IP, ICMP, TCP, UDP & IPSec VPNs.You must also have expertise in testing of Layer 2/3 networking, routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF & EIGRP, MPLS, IPSec, QoS, NAT, and policies etc. Additionally, you should have expertise in networking features like Multicast, IPv6, DNS, NAT & DHCP.Other required skills and qualifications include:* Expertise in System, Solution, Scale, Performance, interoperability, and failover testing of SD-WAN solutions* Own the test strategy, architecture, and execution plans for enterprise-scale SD-WAN solutions.* Be able to build and maintain complex networking testbeds* Expertise with performance characterization of a networking products* Expertise in test orchestration, control plane, data plane, and security features of SD-WAN platforms* Proficient in using traffic generators (Ixia, Spirent), protocol analyzers (Wireshark), and monitoring tools* Expertise with Automation/Programming using Python and RestAPI's* Design and implement test frameworks, environments, and automation for system-level validation.* Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi, qemu/kvm, Microsoft Hyper-V* Excellent problem-solving, debugging/troubleshooting skills and a customer-focused mindset
