Strategic Investor Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned investment professional to lead our investment engine. As the chief strategist, you will be responsible for crafting investment theses, building a high-quality deal pipeline, and running rigorous evaluations of sectoral and company-specific opportunities.

You will leverage your network to find non-obvious opportunities and develop thematic theses across fintech, SaaS, consumer internet, logistics, and AI-enabled operations. Your expertise in financial modeling, scenario/cap table simulations, and exit pathways will be crucial in preparing Investment Memos and presenting them to the Investment Committee.

The successful candidate will have experience in diligence leadership, transaction execution, and portfolio support. They will coordinate with external partners, synthesize findings into go/no-go recommendations, and activate our advisor bench to help portfolio founders win.

As a strategic investor, you will work closely with our founder-led team to drive bold ideas and resilient founders at the earliest stages. You will maintain accurate closing files, hand off smoothly to finance/ops, and keep pipeline CRM tidy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing & Thesis
    • Build and maintain a quality pipeline across seed/early and later-stage deals.
    • Develop and refresh thematic theses.
    • Leverage your network to find non-obvious opportunities.
  • Evaluation & IC Prep
    • Run fast screens and deep dives.
    • Build and audit financial models; scenario/cap table simulations.
    • Draft crisp Investment Memos.
    • Prepare materials for an efficient Investment Committee cadence.
  • Diligence Leadership (LDD/FDD/Tech/Commercial)
    • Define diligence scope; select/manage external partners for Legal Due Diligence and Financial Due Diligence.
    • Coordinate data-room requests, red-flag logs, and management Q&A.
    • Synthesize findings into go/no-go recommendations.
  • Transaction Execution
    • Support term sheet design; valuation rationale, rights, and protections aligned to founder-friendly principles.
    • Coordinate with counsel on definitive docs.
    • Maintain accurate closing files.
  • Portfolio Support & Follow-ons
    • Onboard each company into our advisor network.
    • Track portfolio health.
    • Prepare follow-on cases.
    • Manage co-investor communications.
  • Finance, Reporting & Ops
    • Partner with finance on allocations, wires, compliance, and record-keeping.
    • Keep pipeline CRM tidy.
    • Build internal playbooks and a searchable knowledge base.
