Security Information and Event Management Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive SIEM system that monitors and analyzes security-related data from various sources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and deploy the SIEM platform to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
  • Develop and customize SIEM rules, filters, and alerts to meet specific security monitoring and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to onboard new data sources and integrate logs into the SIEM platform for comprehensive threat detection.
  • Generate and present regular and ad-hoc reports on SIEM performance, security incidents, and compliance status to stakeholders and management.
  • Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to enhance SIEM capabilities and proactive defense strategies.
  • Participate in incident response activities, including incident simulations, tabletop exercises, and post-incident reviews.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in SIEM engineering, security operations, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of security information and event management principles, technologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in configuring and deploying SIEM platforms, such as Splunk or ELK Stack.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
