Senior Web Scraping Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Web Scraping Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of large-scale web scraping frameworks using Scrapy (mandatory).

The ideal candidate will collaborate with product managers, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure timely delivery and contribute to the growth of our data extraction and automation practice.

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust web scraping frameworks using Scrapy (must-have).
  • Work with additional libraries/tools such as BeautifulSoup, Selenium, Playwright, Requests, etc.
  • Implement reliable error handling, data parsing, and data storage mechanisms (JSON, CSV, SQL/NoSQL databases).
  • Build and optimize asynchronous scraping workflows and handle multithreading/multiprocessing.
  • Develop automated testing frameworks to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

Requirements include:

  • 3+ years of experience in Python development with Scrapy expertise (must-have).
  • Proficiency with automation libraries such as Playwright or Selenium.
  • Experience with REST APIs, asynchronous programming, and concurrency.
  • Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and cloud-based data pipelines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines in an Agile environment.

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of DevOps tools such as Docker, GitHub Actions, or CI/CD pipelines.
