API Test Engineer

We are seeking an experienced API Test Engineer to join our team. This is a critical role in ensuring the quality and stability of our APIs.

  • About the Role:
  • Design, develop, and execute automated API test scripts using REST Assured.
  • Perform functional, performance, and integration testing on RESTful APIs.
  • Work closely with developers and product teams to ensure API quality and stability.
  • Develop test strategies, create test cases, and ensure comprehensive API coverage.
  • Debug API failures, analyze logs, and report defects effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hands-on Experience: In REST Assured for API test automation.
  • Strong Understanding: Of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, and JSON/XML.
  • Experience: With Postman, Swagger, or SoapUI for manual API validation.
  • Good Knowledge: Of test automation frameworks like TestNG/JUnit.
  • Familiarity: With SQL databases for backend validation.
  • Experience: With CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Docker) is a plus.
