Academic Excellence Coordinator Role

This role drives academic excellence by ensuring effective lesson planning, modern pedagogical practices, and consistent teaching quality across the school.

The Middle School Coordinator will be responsible for guiding teachers, monitoring instructional practices, providing timely feedback, and collaborating with school leadership to address performance gaps.

A key aspect of this role is guiding teachers in their lesson planning processes to ensure alignment with modern pedagogical strategies and curriculum standards. The coordinator will provide constructive and timely feedback to support teacher growth and development.

The coordinator will also provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to teachers, conduct follow-up workshops and training sessions to reinforce modern teaching methods. This includes creating and maintaining an observation schedule covering all teachers in the school, conducting formal and informal classroom observations to evaluate teaching effectiveness, and sharing targeted actionable feedback.

An additional responsibility of the coordinator is to prepare monthly academic performance and teaching quality reports. This information will be shared with leadership to address challenges and track progress towards academic goals.

To ensure consistent implementation of school-approved teaching and learning strategies, the coordinator will identify professional development needs based on observation data and lesson plan reviews.

  • Effective Communication: Excellent observation, feedback, and coaching skills.
  • Leadership Abilities: Ability to manage and motivate teachers with varied levels of openness to change.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities across different school sections.
  • Data Analysis: Data-driven approach to tracking academic performance.
Qualifications & Experience:

A Master's degree in Education or related field is preferred. A minimum of 7–10 years of teaching experience, at least 3 years in an instructional leadership role, and a proven track record of implementing teaching and learning improvements at scale are required.
