Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Formulation & QC Chemist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing formulations for dog and cat syrups, tonics, and nutraceutical supplements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulation Development
    • Design and optimize formulations for dogs and cats syrups, tonics, and nutraceutical supplements.
    • Select suitable excipients, preservatives, flavors, and stabilizers that are safe for animals.
  • Production Supervision
    • Lead small-scale batch preparation (mixing, filtration, filling, capping, labeling) for pet health supplements.
    • Train and guide the founder in step-by-step production.
    • Maintain hygiene and cleaning SOPs for pet product manufacturing.
  • Quality Control (QC)
    • Conduct basic QC tests (pH, clarity, taste/palatability, viscosity, appearance) specific to dogs and cats supplements.
    • Approve/reject incoming raw materials (vitamins, minerals, herbal extracts for pets).
    • Maintain stability samples and quality records.
  • Compliance & Documentation
    • Prepare and maintain Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs).
    • Ensure compliance with FSSAI/nutraceutical and veterinary supplement guidelines.
    • Act as the "Technical Person" for licensing and inspections.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in pet health supplements/veterinary nutraceuticals/animal syrups or tonic manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience in both formulation and QC for dogs and cats products.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of veterinary nutraceutical ingredients (vitamins, minerals, amino acids, herbal extracts safe for dogs and cats).
  • Practical experience with syrup/tonic production process (mixing → filtration → filling) for animal products.
  • Ability to work independently and teach/mentor.
  • Familiarity with QC lab equipment (pH meter, weighing balance, viscometer).
  • Good documentation habits (batch sheets, QC records).
