About the Role

Our organisation is seeking a Deputy General Manager – Finishing to oversee and manage the finishing operations, ensuring high-quality output, operational efficiency, and timely delivery.

The role requires a strong technical background in fabric finishing, leadership skills to manage large teams, and ability to drive process improvements, cost optimisation, and compliance with quality and sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management: Lead and manage daily operations of the finishing department, including bleaching, dyeing, printing, washing, and other finishing processes.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee quality control processes to ensure fabrics meet customer specifications and international standards.
  • Process Improvement & Innovation: Implement lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement methodologies. Introduce new finishing techniques and technologies to improve efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Maintain standards in line with customer audits, certifications, and sustainability requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Production Management or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in fabric finishing, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial role in a reputable fabric/textile mill.
