Electrical Procurement Specialist Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Procurement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling end-to-end procurement of electrical items, ensuring the right products are sourced at the right cost, on time, and as per technical requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong vendor management, negotiation, and technical understanding of electrical materials. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in procurement and electrical engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors for electrical products (cables, switchgears, panels, etc.).
  2. Float RFQs, prepare price comparison sheets, and negotiate for the best pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules.
  3. Review and interpret SLDs (Single Line Diagrams) and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) to ensure purchases align with project needs.
  4. Maintain and update vendor lists, develop new suppliers, and conduct vendor audits for quality assurance.
  5. Coordinate with project/logistics teams for dispatches, tracking, and resolving any delays or discrepancies.
  6. Maintain accurate procurement records (quotations, POs, payments, approvals).

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma/Bachelor's/Master's in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 2–3 years of procurement experience in an electrical trading company.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and email communication.
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
