Marketing Director Job Description

This role is responsible for overseeing the hotel's marketing communications activities, including advertising, public relations, and direct marketing. The successful candidate will have a strong background in marketing and experience in managing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Communications: Develops and implements annual communication plans with goals and budgets, prepares working plans to achieve communication goals, tracks progress against goals, and takes corrective actions.
  • Advertising: Works with the DOM and advertising agency on creative campaigns, ensures media activities align with hotel's target segments, reviews hotel market segmentation for advertising efficiency, manages media schedules, and ensures timely account settlements.
  • Public Relations: Acts as official spokesperson for the hotel, responds to media requests within 24 hours, manages media contacts, builds relationships with key media, prepares and distributes press releases, collaborates with corporate press offices to develop story angles, and maintains up-to-date press kits.
  • Direct Marketing: Ensures a consistent image across direct marketing activities, assists in planning and tracking electronic marketing activities, controls the budget for direct marketing, and coordinates and executes production of printed materials.
  • Candidate Profile:
    • Education: High school diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant experience, or 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel Management, or related field with 2 years of experience.
