Structured Finance Specialist

About the Role

  • Contribute to originating new transactions, facilitating credit approval and executing deals within tight deadlines.
  • Analyze financials and provide economic evaluations for prospective and existing clients.
  • Assess short- and long-term risks in existing operations and expansions/new projects.
  • Assist in conducting external technical due diligence, including reviewing financial and operational models, business and industry performance, assessing process effectiveness and recommending a risked approach to reserve/production/process/costs profiles (used in bank case models).
  • Review environmental and social impact assessments or similar due diligence and comment on Equator Principle rating classification and remediation plans.
  • Monitor existing portfolio performance, including financial and operational performance of development projects; conduct regular reviews with operating management of clients, reserves auditors as well as other banks' technical experts.
  • Document evaluation results for internal and external purposes.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Economics, Finance or Engineering. Additional certifications like Financial Risk Management (FRM) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) would be beneficial.
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial modeling and valuations.
  • Strong quantitative, numerical and analytical skills, structuring expertise preferred.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and multitasking capabilities.
  • Investment banking and strong credit experience; leveraged finance background desired.
