Mortgage Draw Processing Expert

About the Role

As a seasoned professional in mortgage construction draw processing, you will be an integral part of our dedicated team at FinacPlus, providing expert services to overseas clients. This position involves working closely with Toorak Capital Partners, a multibillion-dollar integrated correspondent lending platform that funds small balance business purpose residential, multifamily, and mixed-use loans throughout the U.S. and the United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients and serve as a liaison between them and our company in the draw processing process.
  • Remediate disputes with clients while protecting the lender's position.
  • Procure sufficient evidence of construction progress on site and assess the reasonableness of funding requirements according to current policy.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and internal stakeholders on the status of draws and raise awareness regarding thematic concerns to ensure timely and budget-friendly project completion.
  • Proactively procure and critically evaluate documentation to mitigate associated financial risks.
  • Maintain open communication lines with external stakeholders, loan originators, and borrowers, as needed.
  • Provide necessary reporting to team members.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Master's degree in finance or equivalent post-graduate degree in finance.
  • Strong English language proficiency is a must.
  • Excellent speaking skills are essential due to frequent interactions with borrowers.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in customer-facing roles or call centers.
  • Familiarity with the mortgage industry and basic principles of finance is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry is beneficial.
  • Ability to interact successfully with owners, developers, and contractors throughout various construction phases.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze risk.
  • Superior organizational skills and ability to work under time constraints.
  • Proficiency with computer hardware and software, including MS Office, with strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
