Job Title: AS400 Programmer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Minimum 2-6 years of experience in software development with exposure to the complete life cycle of development at least once on CLP/RPG/RPGLE for commercial applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of AS400 technology (RPGLE, CLLE, DB2), ILE which also means working knowledge of modular programming in ILE-RPG including modules and service programs.
  • Able to apply effort estimation, unit testing principles. Experienced in writing comprehensive unit test cases/plans. Capable of executing and coordinating system integration testing and user acceptance testing with another vendor and project implementation.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting during various phases of development.
  • Reasonable working experience of coding new (and changing) complex CL programs.
  • Familiarity with DB2 concepts and associated methodologies.
Requirements:
  • Good English communication skills and experience working in a multicultural environment.
  • Experience in the insurance domain (preferably in life insurance)
  • Ability to work as part of a larger team to ensure satisfactory delivery.
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, responsible and a desire for quality
