Software Engineer Role Summary

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced software engineer with significant experience in developing scalable data platforms. If you are passionate about building innovative software solutions and growing in a dynamic environment, we would love to have you on board.

  • Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
  • Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
  • Improve operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures.
  • Obtain and license software by obtaining required information from vendors; recommending purchases; testing and approving products.
  • Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment.
  • Participate in educational opportunities & read professional publications;
  • Protect operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
  • Accomplish engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer.
  • Experience designing interactive applications.
  • Ability to develop software in Java, Javascript, Typescript, React or other programming languages.
  • Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies (TypeORM).
  • Knowledge of NoSQL like MongoDB and caching databases like Redis is an added advantage.
  • Experience with test-driven development.
  • Proficiency in software engineering tools.
  • Ability to document requirements and specifications.
  • Good to have AWS experience.
