Incident Response Security Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing incident response processes and establishing control and direction for various incidents and service desk tickets.
Key duties include actively responding to security events from detection through resolution, building tools for security incident alerting, management, communication, and response, and participating in on-call rosters.
Additionally, the candidate will assist in promoting a security mindset and establishing best practices across multiple areas of security.
Required skills and experience include a curious detective mindset, proven experience in security engineering, operations, or incident response, exposure to cloud technologies, and documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Essential qualifications include experience with query languages, running cyber incidents, and developing logic for SIEM and SOAR systems, as well as certification in information security management or system security.
A salary in the range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year is estimated for this position, depending on location and qualifications.
