HVAC Technician Job Description

As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

The role ensures that all HVAC equipment operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

You will install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioners, chillers, furnaces, air handlers, and ventilation units.

You will perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance of HVAC equipment.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems and recommend effective solutions.

You will read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications.

You will adjust system controls to improve performance and ensure energy efficiency.

You will test and balance air and hydronic systems to meet performance standards.

You will maintain accurate service and repair records, documenting all work performed.

You will ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.

You will respond promptly to emergency service calls.

You will collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to resolve system issues.
