Medical Equipment Specialist Job

This role involves planning, coordinating, and managing medical equipment for healthcare facility projects. It requires a strong understanding of medical equipment, healthcare standards, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop equipment lists, layouts, and specifications, ensuring that all equipment is appropriately sized, meets the required functionality, and fits within designated spaces in coordination with architectural and engineering plans.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to integrate medical equipment planning within the overall project plan, maintain project timelines, monitor progress, and coordinate equipment delivery schedules with vendors and contractors.
  • Research and evaluate equipment options, negotiate pricing, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards, establish and maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring that all specifications, delivery schedules, and installation requirements are clearly communicated.
  • Ensure all equipment meets regulatory standards, such as FDA, ISO, and local building codes, and is aligned with the facility's operational goals, conduct audits and inspections of equipment and layouts to verify compliance with safety and infection control standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in medical equipment planning, healthcare facility design, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with medical equipment, healthcare standards, regulatory compliance, and facility planning.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, MS Office Suite, and project management tools is a plus.
