Job Title: Data Architect

Company: Hero FinCorp Ltd

As a Data Architect at Hero FinCorp, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable data architectures using Databricks. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our data systems meet the specific needs of financial services, including risk management, compliance, and customer analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable data architectures using Databricks
  • Conduct assessment of existing data architectures and recommend remediation plans
  • Develop data migration strategies and oversee the execution of data migration activities
  • Build and optimize data ingestion and processing pipelines for real-time analytics and reporting
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Ensure data solutions adhere to financial regulations and best practices in data governance
  • Monitor and tune the performance of data systems for efficiency and reliability
  • Mentor junior data engineers and analysts

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Solutions Architect, or similar role in a consulting environment
  • Strong hands-on experience on various cloud services, including ADF/Lambda, ADLS/S3, Security, Monitoring, Governance & Compliance
  • Hands-on experience designing and building Databricks-based solutions on cloud platforms and integrating with DBT models
  • Knowledge of data engineering concepts and related services of cloud platforms
  • Experience in Python and Spark, with setting up development best practices
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with claims-based authentication, MFA, RBAC, SSO, and cloud security controls

Primary Skills:

  • Effective communication of complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Leadership in designing, implementing, and optimizing Databricks platforms
  • Collaboration with data engineering teams to ensure Databricks platforms are optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive understanding of data pipelines and data architecture
  • Developing and maintaining documentation for Databricks platforms, including architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and operational procedures

Technical Skills:

  • Orchestrated at least 3 projects using cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS)
  • Orchestrated at least 2 projects using Databricks over AWS/Azure
  • Experience with cloud PaaS/SaaS databases/DWH (AWS Redshift, Big Query, Snowflake)
  • Expertise in programming languages like Python, Pyspark, Scala, SQL/PLSQL
  • Hands-on experience with data modelling techniques, data management concepts, and ETL tools
  • Experience with Github and Jenkins CI/CD or similar Devops tools
