Job Description

Job Title: Databricks Solutions Architect

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Databricks Solutions Architect to join our team at Hero Fincorp Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining various Databricks solutions, including Databricks access control, cost management, performance management, and backup.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement, setup, configure, monitor, and maintain various Databricks solutions.
  • Provide Databricks user access and define roles.
  • Configure Databricks cost management and performance management.
  • Set up security perimeter using Privacera and manage user access in alignment with current security policies.
  • Provide on-demand technical support to project teams.
  • Triage and resolve issues faced by project teams and work with the Corning AWS Infrastructure team towards resolution.
  • Schedule report monitoring and backup monitoring.
  • Supervise cluster health checks.
  • Deploy and maintain PaaS and SaaS Databricks platforms for Machine Learning (ML) development, QA, staging, and production environments hosted on cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate Databricks environment deployments.
  • Develop a library of scripts to automate Databricks MLOps environments.
  • Identify and generate solutions to current problems in the organization.
  • Aid developers and DevOps teams with implementing automation scripts that follow company standards.
  • Collaborate with DevOps team members and all engineering teams to ensure solutions exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability, and reliability upon deployment.
  • Partner with cloud solution architects and development teams to fully understand product requirements and configure Databricks environments that meet these requirements.
  • Manage Databricks infrastructure and collaborate with various teams to ensure it integrates seamlessly with all components, including network, security, messaging, and remote access.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Databricks environment performance issues, connectivity issues, and security issues.
  • Research, adopt, and relate new technologies to solve issues that arise while adhering to company security and standards.

Requirements:

  • 3-4+ years of experience in implementing, setting up, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining various Microsoft AWS Databricks solutions.
  • Must have orchestrated reporting platforms on cloud.
  • Databricks admin and application experience.
  • Configuring and installing libraries, connection with RDS Glue, and other AWS components.
  • Configuring, modifying underlying EC2 instances on which Databricks runs.
  • Databricks hands-on administration.
  • Handling user requests around system access, Spark, data manipulation, data frames, etc.
  • AWS administration, EC2, IAM roles, appstream, bastion hosts, S3, Active Directory, adding users, creating groups, integrating with Okta.
  • Ability to handle given tasks and projects simultaneously in an organized and timely manner.
  • Daily project updates and identifying project risks and mitigations.
  • Manage fortnightly updates for Sr. Management of both sides.
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Attention to details.
