Production Chemist Position

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Production Chemist to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing company based out of Hyderabad. This emerging player in the industry has deep relations with high-stakes players.

The ideal candidate should have 2-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical production, holding an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in chemistry from a reputable university. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a creative mindset to drive innovation and overcome scientific challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Chemical Production Batches: Assist in the preparation and execution of chemical production batches following standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure accurate and consistent product quality.
  • Pyrophoric Reagents and Pressure Reactors: Safely manage pyrophoric reagents, Raney nickel, and operate pressure reactors (autoclave) in line with company policies.
  • Filtration Techniques: Perform the filtration of low-melting solids and ensure optimal filtration techniques are applied.
  • Deviations and Troubleshooting: Report any deviations from specifications and work with the senior chemist to troubleshoot and rectify issues.
  • Production Activities: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including batch records, test results, and any deviations from standard procedures.
  • Reporting and Communication: Generate reports and summaries as required by the production and quality control teams.
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Safety Hazards: Identify and report any safety hazards or concerns promptly.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate production equipment such as reactors, mixers, and filters.
  • Maintenance and Efficiency: Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure functionality.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and research and development.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth production process.
  • Process Improvement: Actively participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
