Job Description:

The successful candidate will lead and enhance the school's Primary Years Programme, fostering an engaging student-centered environment.

Key responsibilities include developing, implementing, and reviewing the PYP curriculum in alignment with IB guidelines.

  • Developing and reviewing curriculum to ensure it meets IB standards.
  • Collaborating with teachers to deliver effective PYP lessons and promote a culture of inquiry and reflection.
  • Providing guidance and support for teachers in developing transdisciplinary units and inquiry-based learning experiences.
  • Organizing and leading professional development workshops and training sessions for staff.
  • Engaging with parents and the school community to promote understanding of the PYP.
  • Coordinating student assessments and maintaining records as per IB requirements.
  • Staying updated with IB developments and changes to ensure the school's adherence to IB standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Master's Degree or Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • IB PYP Coordinator training or certification.
  • Minimum 10 years of teaching experience and strong understanding of the IB framework, particularly the PYP.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong leadership abilities and commitment to professional growth.
