PostgreSQL Data Engineer

As a PostgreSQL Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data landscape. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing and implementing efficient data models, ensuring seamless data integration, and developing innovative solutions to complex data challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Design and Development: Create advanced data models using star schema and facts & dimensions, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Database Optimization: Utilize indexing and optimization techniques to enhance database efficiency and reduce query times.
  • Semi-Structured Data Handling: Work effectively with json/jsonb in Postgres, ensuring seamless integration and data consistency.
  • ETL/ELT Tools: Leverage Airbyte and other ETL/ELT tools to streamline data pipelines and ensure data quality.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster cross-functional collaboration by effectively communicating data insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in PostgreSQL development and data engineering
  • Advanced Postgres SQL expertise, including CTEs, window functions, and indexing
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data validation, and QA checks
  • Experience with semi-structured data handling and ETL/ELT tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
