Seeking a senior Snowflake expert to lead comprehensive data platform solutioning, architecture and implementation. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise combined with strong consultative and client-facing skills.

The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, data engineers and solution architects to develop scalable, high-performance and cost-effective data warehousing solutions in cloud environments.

As a system architect, you will be responsible for developing architectural designs for Snowflake data platforms, serving as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for clients.

The position also involves offering consulting on cloud data strategy, data integration, migration and modernization initiatives, evaluating and recommending best-fit architectural patterns and designing ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake.

The successful candidate will enable real-time and batch data processing by integrating with streaming tools such as Kafka and Apache Spark, design and implement data models and data warehouses to support business analytics and operational needs.

The role also involves defining and enforcing data governance, data cataloging and metadata management practices, guiding and mentoring engineering teams on Snowflake development best practices and driving proof-of-concept initiatives.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
  • 10+ years of overall experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture or related fields.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including:
    • Snowflake architecture design
    • Performance tuning & optimization
    • Security, access control, and RBAC
    • Zero-copy cloning, time travel, data sharing features
  • Experience with dbt, Fivetran or similar tools.
  • Proven expertise in Data Warehousing, Data Architecture and Data Modeling.
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, GCP or Azure and how Snowflake integrates within these environments.
  • Strong SQL expertise and experience with Python, Shell scripting or other automation tools.
  • Hands-on experience with streaming tools such as Kafka, Kinesis, Spark Streaming is a plus.
  • Prior experience in consulting or client-facing solutioning roles is mandatory.
