Cloud Data Engineering Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Data Engineer with extensive experience in cloud-based technologies to lead the development of scalable data pipelines and drive data migration projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain large-scale data processing systems using BigQuery, DataProc (PySpark), and other native services.
  • Oversee or support data migration initiatives from on-premise to cloud environments, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
  • Develop and optimize ETL workflows and data integration processes using Informatica.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Implement data governance, quality, and lineage practices across the pipeline.
  • Monitor data workflows and perform root cause analysis for any issues in production environments.
  • Ensure best practices in code quality, performance tuning, and security.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10-12 years of overall experience in Data Engineering and ETL development.
  • Hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including BigQuery, DataProc, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Composer.
  • Strong experience in PySpark for data processing and transformation.
  • Proven experience in data migration projects, particularly to cloud.
  • Strong proficiency in Informatica PowerCenter / Informatica Cloud / IDQ.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, performance optimization, and scalable architecture design.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies.
