Job Title: Associate, Research Monitoring and Evaluation

\About the Role\

This is a key role within our organization where you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and analyzing monthly program implementation and monitoring indicators. You will work closely with our team to ensure that we are providing high-quality services to our stakeholders.

\

 

\Key Responsibilities\
  • Design and manage dashboards to inform management teams about key insights observed on a monthly basis.
  • Work with research and monitoring & evaluation (RM&E) teams at various levels to design different monitoring forms for constant feedback to programs.
  • Collaborate with program teams to implement and maintain monitoring and evaluation efforts in programs.
  • Update and discuss data-related challenges and reflections with RM&E teams.
  • Implement and analyze periodic data based on agreed-upon geographic and timing needs.
  • Train and mentor staff to develop knowledge and skills to run methodologically strong evaluations in projects and programs.
  • Synthesize and analyze data and write summary reports by program based on M&E results.
  • Identify key issues around program quality and links between monitoring and evaluation and quality assurance and improvement.
  • Recommend improvements to management teams based on M&E findings.
  • Work with program and HQ staff to codify best practices for Room to Read's programs.
  • Innovate new M&E systems and projects to continuously improve our work in the field.
  • Travel regularly to oversee the implementation of our M&E work, train staff, and maintain understanding of current stage of development of M&E practice in the organization.

\Requirements\

To succeed in this role, you will need:

\
  • A Master's degree in a related field such as education, development, or social sciences.
  • Three years of professional experience, preferably in research, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Strong technical competence in research and monitoring and evaluation methods.
  • Strong operational management ability, including setting goals, planning, prioritizing, and monitoring progress against plans.
  • Data visualization and analytical skills, including experience working with Power BI to create dashboards.
  • Ability to travel frequently to provinces throughout India and program areas.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of education issues, gender issues, and community involvement in schools.
