IT Ariba Applications Manager Position

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Ariba Applications Manager to support our strategic change initiatives and enhance core applications to meet business needs.

  • Functional area:
    • SAP Ariba
    • Strategic sourcing modules: SLP, Sourcing, Contracts
    • P2P: Guided Buying, Ariba Buying, Commerce Automation
    • SAP Ariba Network: all documents including electronic invoices
    • SAP Ariba CIG / Cloud Integration Gateway (basics)
    • SAP MM & PM
    • SAP FI & CO (basics)
Main Responsibilities:
  • Application, change, and project support responsibilities
  • Incident Management: Keeping systems up and running by applying a controlled process of registering, monitoring, and resolving application-related tickets
  • Monitoring overall performance of the application; responsible for integrity of production environment
  • Maintaining applications according to SLA and in line with regional business needs of involved Business Unit(s) and organization
  • Periodic standby for emergencies (24x7 availability schedule)
  • Operationalizing priority setting as agreed with the business
  • Functioning as 1st escalation point for 3rd party vendors and user community on Application Maintenance related services
  • Signals deviations on policy, standard package matters; after approval, contributes to changes
  • Ensuring IM process compliance for area of responsibility
  • Taking care of proper and updated documentation of the application (technical - process – and end-user documentation)
  • Keeping CMDB up-to-date for business processes and applications in scope
  • Executing changes and enhancements: describe problem, information analysis, prepare solution, execute system change (self or by third party), unit test of change, amend user documentation, implementation, aftercare
  • Conducting tests as defined in integration test specification, recording details of any failures, and carrying out fault diagnosis
  • Analyzing and supporting key-users' training needs and creating/maintaining training material
  • Periodically visiting customer sites to discuss tickets, wishes etc. with key users and demonstrate visibility
  • Frequently contacting key users on open tickets and acting as co-coordinator for Key User network and meetings
  • Co-responsible for activities ensuring applications function and operate appropriately
  • Supporting project handover activities (handover from deliverables and knowledge from a project to the Application Maintenance teams) for the area of responsibility
  • Supporting projects in execution of changes/enhancements
  • Participating in implementation improvements and optimization projects
  • Creating and checking content of transports
  • Playing an active role in CAB/Change Advisory Board
  • Administering SAP Ariba and SAP Ariba Network as well as SAP Ariba configuration tables in SAP ECC
  • Configuring and reviewing SAP Ariba approval flow setups and data
  • Implementing further automation initiatives
  • Supporting complex seller integrations
