Power Sector Consultant

Join a dynamic team of consultants and help clients seize essential advantages in the power sector. As a Power Sector Consultant, you will work alongside business leaders to solve their toughest problems and capture their greatest opportunities.

We help create sustainable change by stimulating innovation, unlocking data possibilities, navigating risk and regulatory complexity, optimizing deals, and aligning costs with business strategy to create a competitive advantage.

The role involves working as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Key responsibilities include:

  • Energy Transition and new technologies including BESS, Green Hydrogen, Green Ammonia, etc.
  • Hydro/Renewable Energy projects including solar, wind
  • Technical and commercial due diligence
  • Executing client-facing roles for Govt. entities/PSUs, utility clients
  • Business process understanding of utilities and usage of technologies in the sector
  • Financial analysis of various business ventures in the power sector
  • Tracking national and state-level policies and regulations in the power sector
  • Understanding recent and ongoing schemes in the power sector (national and state level)
  • Support in drafting of policies/guidelines/frameworks in the power sector
  • Support in business development

Mandatory Skill Sets:

  • Knowledge about green technologies and energy transition
  • Sound understanding in power sector policy/guidelines and commercial/financial aspects of the sector
  • Past experience in working assignments related to solar/wind/hydro project/pumped hydro storage/energy storage/e-mobility/green hydrogen
  • Proficiency in report writing and preparation of presentations - experience in client-facing roles

Preferred skill sets:

  • Prior experience in management consulting
  • Financial Analysis and financial modelling
  • Experience of handling government clients/utilities

Experience: 2-8 years of relevant experience

Qualification: BE/B. Tech./M. Tech/MBA/CA or equivalent

Location: Kolkata, West Bengal

Candidates should be comfortable with extensive travelling.
