About the Role:

The Business Development Head will be responsible for driving branch revenue through equity trading, third-party product selling, and regular new client acquisition. This role requires a strong understanding of the equity market and the ability to develop and implement strategies to achieve branch sales targets and profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive branch revenue through equity trading, third-party product selling, and regular new client acquisition.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve branch sales targets and profitability goals.
  • Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities for financial products such as mutual funds, insurance, PMS, Structured products, and fixed income instruments.
  • Oversee day-to-day branch operations, ensuring seamless execution of equity trading and other financial services.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor operational efficiency and address any issues promptly to maintain smooth workflows.
  • Lead and mentor the branch team, including equity dealers, relationship managers, and other staff.
  • Foster a collaborative and result-driven work culture.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) and retail clients.
  • Provide insights and guidance to the team and clients for informed investment decisions.
  • Assist clients with portfolio diversification and risk management strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, commerce, economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in the equity market, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
