  • We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Digital Workplace Specialist. As part of this role, you will work closely with senior technical management, product owners, and project managers to develop, design, and implement requirements.
  • You will be responsible for delivering service improvements without unnecessary investment in new products by working smarter and providing better tools and better use of existing product set.
  • This includes improving alignment of technology solutions with operational areas to focus on practical delivery of solutions architecture to FIL using experience from across the Atlassian product set.
  • As a subject matter expert ('SME') for Atlassian Jira and Confluence and related add-ons, you will provide ownership and regular updates of issues including supporting users with best practice advice until request has been resolved.
  • You will evaluate, diagnose, research, analyze, and provide solutions to simple and medium-complexity problems encountered.
  • You will plan to assess new upcoming features on cloud and communicate to users wherever applicable.
  • You will adhere to security policy surrounding platform standards and provide engineering solutions as directed by the security product roadmap.
  • You will ensure operational requirements are matched in the delivery of services around standards and engineering.
  • You will own and manage user access permissions per security guidelines.
  • You will communicate effectively across departments and geographically dispersed teams, identifying new skills, skills gaps, and working to improve overall team knowledge.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Extensive expertise in analyzing, troubleshooting, implementing, and supporting Jira and Confluence Cloud.
  • Demonstrated ability in managing Jira Cloud and Confluence Cloud within a professional environment.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and cloud-based project management tools.
  • Comprehensive understanding of security policies, user management, best practices, design, usage, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills in a cloud-based setting.
  • Proficiency in Shell, Python, and Groovy scripting for automating tasks.
  • Strong knowledge in creating reports on Jira Dashboards and EazyBI.
  • Outstanding implementation skills in managing Jira custom fields, workflow management, and developing common templates.
  • Considerable experience in integrating Jira and Confluence with third-party tools.
  • Ability to optimize costs by identifying and substituting unnecessary plugins with cloud-native features.
