Financial Operations Manager

The Financial Operations Manager is a key leader in the financial department, responsible for overseeing core functions including billing, accounting, and accounts receivable.

This role requires strong technical accounting expertise combined with operational leadership to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead monthly and quarterly close processes according to GAAP guidelines.
  • Review and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Manage close calendars and monitor team task completion.
  • Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors.
Billing Oversight & Controls:
  • Oversee customer billing, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.
  • Work with operations and collections teams to resolve billing issues.
Accounts Payable Management:
  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice review, approvals, and payments.
  • Coordinate payroll, insurance, lease accounting, and bank reconciliations.
Fixed Asset Accounting:
  • Oversee fixed asset accountingcapitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
  • Administer expense systems such as Concur and Ramp for policy compliance.
System & Process Improvement:
  • Implement ERP systems to automate workflows and improve data accuracy.
  • Develop proficiency in ERP platforms like Infor SyteLine, NetSuite, SAP, and reporting tools like Prophix.
Collaboration & Quality Control:
  • Partner with HR, Operations, and Sales to ensure cohesive and accurate financial reporting.
  • Monitor compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory standards.
