Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing life cycles and be proficient in writing test cases, test scenarios, and bug reports.

The successful applicant will work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and resolve issues. They will also provide timely and detailed test execution status reports to the QA Lead / Project Manager.

  • Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Perform manual testing across web, mobile, and desktop applications.
  • Identify, log, track, and retest defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documents to design effective test cases.
  • Ensuring comprehensive test coverage and maintaining traceability between requirements and test cases.

Additional expectations for more senior candidates include:

  • Mentoring junior testers by sharing knowledge and reviewing test cases.
  • Providing input for test effort estimation and project planning.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
  • Proficiency in writing test cases, test scenarios, and bug reports.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, Mantis).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Good understanding of different types of testing: functional, regression, integration, UAT, smoke, sanity, exploratory testing.
