Job Opportunity:

A field-intensive role for an experienced coffee professional to oversee procurement and quality assurance at the origin level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Visit coffee farms and curing works to evaluate beans before purchase, ensuring top-quality products meet our export specifications.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks from farm collection to curing and sorting processes.
  • Cup and evaluate samples to guarantee consistency with export requirements, applying expertise in cup quality analysis.
  • Prepare accurate traceability and quality reports for each lot procured, highlighting key aspects of the sourcing process.
  • Coordinate logistics from farm to curing works and up to export stage (sampling, weighment, warehousing).
  • Maintain strong relationships with farmers, suppliers, and curing units, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines such as the Coffee Board of India and FSSAI regulations.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in coffee procurement, quality control, cupping, or farm-level operations is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of green coffee beans, grading, curing processes, and cup quality analysis is required.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation for traceability and compliance is crucial.
  • Familiarity with export-related logistics and processes is advantageous.
  • Fluency in Kannada (mandatory); basic English for reporting and supplier/buyer coordination.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Karnataka's coffee-growing regions is necessary.
  • High integrity, reliability, and a genuine passion for coffee are expected qualities.
