Job Opportunity:

  • A dynamic and experienced IDC Progress Consultant is sought to lead the design, development, and support of Progress OpenEdge 4GL-based Financial Management Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, configure, develop, deploy, and maintain Progress OpenEdge RDBMS-based financial systems.
  • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to gather requirements and execute implementations.
  • Investigate and resolve system issues, perform routine enhancements, and ensure system performance.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation including configuration logs, test scripts, and user guides.

Requirements and Skills:

  • 5 to 12 years of hands-on experience with Progress OpenEdge 4GL and RDBMS on Microsoft Windows Server.
  • Proficiency in consuming web services, integrating Microsoft Office with Progress 4GL, Fathom Replication implementation, and installing and monitoring Progress RDBMS.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes such as Financial Reporting, Fixed Assets, Depreciation, and Asset Tracking.
  • Experience integrating with Oracle Financials and SEPA banking systems.
  • Solid documentation and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.
  • Knowledge of ITIL principles, especially Incident and Change Management.
  • Background in managed service or enterprise IT support environments.

System Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with Progress OpenEdge 4GL and RDBMS.
  • Proficiency in financial processes and system integration.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
