Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to oversee general accounting operations.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities include reconciling account balances, maintaining a general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures.

A successful accountant combines analytical skills with a deep understanding of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.

The ideal candidate should also have experience collaborating and/or managing a team of Bookkeepers.

Duties include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present results
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
  • Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
  • Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
  • Prepare financial statements
  • Assist with tax audits and tax returns
  • Plan, assign, and review staff's work
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Develop and document business processes to maintain internal controls
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP principles
Requirements
  • Experience as an accountant
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
  • In-depth understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (USGAAP)
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software packages
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
