Job Title:

Senior Backend Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing backend services using TypeScript/Node.js.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services and experience with regulated systems such as KYC, audit logs, and compliance. You will also need to have hands-on experience with AWS Lambda and serverless patterns, as well as PostgreSQL schema design, performance tuning, and real-world queries.

In addition to your technical skills, you will need to be able to work independently and communicate clearly with your team. You will also need to be able to design and maintain secure, documented REST APIs.

This is an urgent hire, and we are looking for candidates who are immediately available. The role is initially a 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of backend engineering experience, ideally in financial services.
  • Strong TypeScript/Node.js skills, productive from day one.
  • Hands-on with AWS Lambda and serverless patterns.
  • PostgreSQL experience, schema design, performance tuning, real-world queries.
  • Solid understanding of building secure, documented REST APIs.
