Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IPv6 Technical Lead to develop and implement cutting-edge IPv6 network deployment plans aligned with our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design IPv6 Addressing Schemes: Develop and implement efficient IPv6 addressing schemes, subnetting, and hierarchical IP plans to support current and future network growth.
  • Plan and Design IPv6 Routing Architectures: Plan and design IPv6 routing architectures using protocols such as OSPFv3, BGP for IPv6, and EIGRP for IPv6.
  • Create Network Documentation: Create detailed network design documentation and deployment guides for IPv6.
  • Assess Infrastructure Readiness: Assess existing IPv4 infrastructure readiness for IPv6 migration and recommend transition strategies.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams for IPv6 deployment.
  • Lead IPv6 Deployments: Lead IPv6 pilot deployments and oversee full-scale rollouts across LAN, WAN, data center, and cloud networks.
  • Troubleshoot Deployment Issues: Monitor and troubleshoot IPv6 deployment issues and provide solutions to optimize performance.
  • Establish Security Policies: Establish IPv6 security policies and best practices to protect network infrastructure.
  • Maintain Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge on IPv6 standards, deployment methodologies, and vendor technologies.
  • Provide Training: Provide training and technical support to engineering and operations teams on IPv6.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Proven Experience: Proven hands-on experience in IPv6 network design, planning, and deployment.
  • Deep Understanding: Deep understanding of IPv6 protocols and features.
  • Expertise: Expertise in IPv6 routing protocols: OSPFv3, BGP, and EIGRP for IPv6.
  • Familiarity: Familiarity with IPv6 transition mechanisms and network infrastructure hardware.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of network security considerations in IPv6 environments.
  • Strong Documentation Skills: Strong documentation and project management skills.
  • Industry Certifications: Industry certifications with IPv6 focus preferred.
  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
