Responsibilities:

  • Leading the Copy Editors Desk: As the senior person, you will be the final word on editorial copy published on the English news domain. You will lead a desk of Copy Editors and News Writers to produce impeccable text copy on national and global news events.
  • Editing & Rewriting: Rigorously edit and rewrite copies to enhance clarity, coherence, and accuracy while maintaining strong narrative flow.
  • Writing to Visuals: Craft compelling text that complements visuals, ensuring content is engaging and aligned with the narrative of news events.
  • Contextual & Analytical Writing: Provide depth and context to news stories, ensuring they are insightful and factually sound.
  • Headlines & SEO Optimization: Write impactful, click-worthy (but not click-bait), and SEO-friendly headlines without compromising accuracy.
  • Editorial Oversight: Lead a team of copy editors, setting quality benchmarks for grammar, syntax, style, and factual integrity.
