Mechanical Drafter Position

Engineering and Design Role

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Create accurate 2D/3D drawings for fabrication and assembly, working closely with engineers and production teams.
  • Transform engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations into precise technical drawings.
  • Maintain high-quality standards in all drawings, adhering to internal and industry guidelines.
  • Revise and update drawings as per engineering changes and client feedback.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and meet project timelines.
  • Ensure timely updates of documentation and maintain drawing records and logs.
  • Generate and update Bill of Materials (BOM) according to approved designs.
  • Support quality control by providing necessary dimensions and tolerances.
Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Hold a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or Draftsmanship.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in mechanical drafting.
  • Prior experience in Filters, Fabrication, Process Equipment, Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, and Sheet Metal Industry is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical fabrication standards, welding symbols, and standard tolerances.
  • Familiarity with P&IDs, layout drawings, and fabrication/assembly drawings.
  • Ability to interpret engineering documents and blueprints accurately.

Soft Skills:

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
