Plumbing, HVAC, and Firefighting Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Plumbing, HVAC, and Firefighting Systems Engineer. This role requires technical expertise in system design, regulatory compliance, and effective project management to ensure safe and efficient installation and operation of building services.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and firefighting systems for various projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial developments. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues and provide innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design and develop plumbing system layouts, including pipe sizing and equipment selection. Perform hydraulic calculations for sprinkler systems, ensuring proper coverage and compliance with safety standards.
  • System Optimization: Conduct heat load calculations using tools like HAP to determine heating and cooling requirements for buildings. Select equipment such as chillers, cooling towers, VRF systems, fan coil units, air handling units (AHUs), fans, and DX units based on project specifications.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Coordinate and collaborate real-time with other in-house disciplines such as electrical, structural, architectural, landscape, etc., to develop designs. Provide technical insights and resolve engineering issues as they arise.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (B.E/B.Tech/master's in mechanical)
  • Experience: 8 to 15 years in Plumbing/HVAC & Firefighting.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Building Information Modelling (BIM) tools like Navisworks and BIM Collaboration (BIM 360). Knowledge of International Plumbing design codes, ASHRAE, AHRI, CIBSE, HTM, ASPE, etc.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
