Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Software Quality Assurance (SQA) specialist to play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in manual testing, automation testing, and test planning, with a strong understanding of software development life cycles.
  • They will be responsible for performing thorough testing, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software releases.

  • A strong understanding of software development methodologies, testing techniques, and defect management processes is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing for mobile apps, web apps, and backend APIs.
  2. Test new features for accuracy, performance, and user experience.
  3. Create, maintain, and execute test cases, test plans, and bug reports.
  4. Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and designers to ensure smooth feature rollouts.
  5. Reproduce and investigate reported issues, working with the dev team for resolutions.
  6. Maintain test documentation and track quality metrics.
  7. Gradually contribute to automation testing frameworks for web, mobile, and APIs.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of SQA methodologies, testing types, and defect lifecycle.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Jira, Postman, or similar.
  • Ability to write clear, detailed, and reproducible bug reports.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and basic database queries is a plus.
  • Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress) is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in identifying edge cases.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • AWS Knowledge: Experience with AWS services is a plus.
Nice To Have:
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and QA's role in them.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, or similar).
