Job Title: Senior Hydraulic Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydraulic Design Engineer to lead the design of hydraulic systems for our aerial work platform business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in designing complex hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing hydraulic architectures and integrating machine hydraulics with electrical control software.
  • Selecting hydraulic aggregates, including pumps, pressure reducing valves, hydraulic drive motors, and pressure sensors.
  • Candidates must have a good understanding of machine speed calculations and correlation with flow rates, as well as software tuning capabilities.
  • A solid understanding of close-loop hydraulic systems and hydrostatic drives is essential.
  • Checking 3D design layouts, 2D drawings, DFMEA, DFM/TFR reviews, and closures with design updates.
  • Integration of various subsystems in CAD and control of combination masters in PLM.
  • Involvement in prototype machine builds, analysis, and resolution of machine concerns.
  • Cooling trials of engines and hydraulic systems.
  • Preparation of SOR, sign-off documentation, and technical reviews with suppliers.
  • Coordination with cross-functional teams for implementation of design changes on products.
  • A good understanding of NPD processes and gate requirements.
  • Problem-solving techniques like 8D, Fishbone diagrams, and Pareto charts for hydraulic-related problems.

Educational Qualifications:

  • B.Tech or M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

  • Minimum 12-14 years of experience in the field.
