Network Infrastructure Specialist

This role is responsible for delivering second-level technical support and service requests, focusing on network analysis and design, technology support, and client assistance. The successful candidate will provide high-level support for any network issues, including implementing new networks and troubleshooting outages for local and remote networks.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, strong working knowledge of Microsoft Applications, and advanced troubleshooting abilities. Additionally, experience in installing/configuring routers, switches, VPNs, firewalls (Cisco, Sophos, Palo Alto) is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical support for networking, including WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, wireless, and security
- Implement and support remote access solutions such as IPSEC VPN
- Understand DNS/DHCP concepts
- Collaborate with vendor support to resolve client issues
- Utilize Command Line Interfaces to manage computer equipment
- Offer IT support for technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications and operating systems
- Respond to and resolve alerts and tickets generated from the monitoring system and/or customer requests in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate time and records in all service tickets
- Update system configuration information within ticketing systems and ensure it is attached to relevant tickets
- Communicate with customers regarding ticket progress, changes, or agreed outages
- Elevate service requests requiring engineer-level support in a timely fashion to prevent SLA breaches
- Collaborate with team members to implement and improve best practices
- Use central management tools to resolve customer issues with minimal impact
- Bachelor's Degree, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent education/training desired
- 3-5 years of relevant experience as a network engineer, including phone, remote support, and hands-on
