Automation Test Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and executing tests on complete automation systems, as well as analyzing requirements and designing PLC programs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for testing motion, robotics-related function blocks in PLC code before release to market, and following required test processes as defined by Lead/Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute comprehensive tests on automation systems.
  • Analyze system requirements and design efficient PLC programs.
  • Test and validate PLC code for motion and robotics functionality.
  • Ensure adherence to established testing protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Engineering or Master of Science degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics.
  • 6-10 years of experience in automation testing and programming.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming languages (Ladder, Structured Text, Function Blocks).
  • Familiarity with servo drives, VFDs, and inverters configuration and commissioning.
  • Hands-on experience with fieldbus technologies (Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, EtherCAT, etc.).
  • Ability to configure PLC backplane I/Os and remote I/Os on fieldbus networks.
