Product Management Role

This position involves driving the development of products within a company, ensuring they meet customer needs and align with business goals.

  • Gathering clear requirements and writing user stories/acceptance criteria is key in this role. This requires collaboration with Subject Matter Experts and key stakeholders to understand uses cases and pain points as well as trends in the marketplace.
  • Usability studies, research, and market analysis are integrated into product requirements to develop user journeys and other artifacts that help communicate and rally support for an intuitive user experience.
  • Critical dependencies/issues are identified and presented with recommendations for resolution, ensuring timely issue remediation.
  • Providing product demos and conducting product review and feedback sessions with key stakeholders ensures feedback is incorporated into the roadmap.
  • Collaboration with Product and Technology teams is crucial in building core components that enable critical underlying functionality of the product.
  • New features are implemented according to specifications, released on schedule, and issues are remediated in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree with 5+ years of experience in the financial services or fin-tech industry.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in Product Management / Development or related capacity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to edit and prepare executive level communications.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships.
  • Intellectual curiosity with a proven ability to learn quickly and high degree of initiative, self-direction, and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Product Development Lifecycle with proven ability to lead Product Lifecycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition and go to market.
  • Sound knowledge of technology architecture, APIs, design, and data analytics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within large Financial Services firms and basic level of domain knowledge in Credit Risk.
  • Experience working with Technology and UX Design colleagues and discussing technical designs and Certified Agile Practitioner (CSP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
