Google Cloud Platform Test Engineer

Test Engineers play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of Google Cloud Platform (GCP)-based solutions. We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in GCP, particularly in BigQuery, and hands-on experience with data validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and reports.
- Perform data-level validations: schema checks, completeness, integrity, and freshness validations.
- Work extensively with GCP services (especially BigQuery) for data validation.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for testing large data sets.
- Automate test cases using GCP services like Cloud Composer (or Apache Airflow), BigQuery and SQL.
- Monitor GCP cloud logs and build dashboards.
- Identify, log, and track defects and provide regular status updates on execution/validation progress.
- Manage defect triage with various stakeholders.
Skills Required:
- Strong expertise in GCP, especially in BigQuery.
- Hands-on experience with data validation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
