System Safety Specialist Role

As a key contributor to our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing safety instrumented systems (SIS) for our clients. This critical role requires a deep understanding of the Emerson FSM process and ability to maintain all SIS-related documentation as per safety lifecycle requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead SIS Implementation: Collaborate with customers to ensure successful project execution and act as the primary point of contact for all technical aspects of the Safety scope of the project.
  • Technical Expertise: Analyze customer inputs and understand requirements such as Design Specifications, PIDs, Control Narratives, IO lists, Instrument Indexes, Operating Philosophies, Cause-Effect diagrams, and FGS layouts.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of SIS SW HW Engineers working on the project, provide guidance and support to ensure timely completion of tasks and deliverables.
  • Compliance and Quality: Verify compliance to IEC 61511 and other project-specific requirements, raise Technical Queries and develop Safety System Designs that meet or exceed industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing safety instrumented systems (SIS)
  • Strong understanding of the Emerson FSM process and ability to maintain SIS-related documentation
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to analyze complex technical data and develop effective solutions
