Job Description

As an experienced Lead Data Engineer, you will be responsible for leading a team of data engineers in the development and implementation of large-scale data processing systems using AWS services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to the data engineering team, driving innovative solutions that meet business objectives.
  • Architecture Design: Design and implement scalable and efficient data processing architectures using AWS services, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of data engineers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Platform Lead, Delivery Leader or similar role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in fast-paced environments.
  • Good working knowledge of AWS Services, Python, Pyspark, data modeling, and related technologies.
  • Knowledge of columnar and NoSQL databases, predictive analytics, data visualization, and unstructured data, with the ability to apply this knowledge in real-world scenarios.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
