Project Portfolio Management Expert

We are seeking an expert to implement, configure and operationalize project portfolio management solutions for supporting projects.

The consultant will lead process configuration, cost control, forecasting and integrations with upstream systems (e.g. SAP, SFDC, EDW) and build standardized reporting analytics. They will configure portfolios, projects, contracts modules, design cost classes, coding structures, WBS timesheet budget forecasting workflows, change controls and governance templates.

  • Configure project portfolios, projects, contracts, design cost classes, coding structures, WBS timesheet budget forecasting workflows, change controls and governance templates.
  • Establish baselines, progress capture, EACEVM calculations, variance analysis, dashboards, implement standardized monthly cycle forecast accruals, KPIs.
  • Orchestrate integrations between project management tools and ERP (e.g. SAP, CRM, SFDC, schedulers, Primavera P6, MS Project, EDW, Snowflake, IICS) to enable single source reporting.
  • Build portfolio and project dashboards, KPI, cost schedule performance, funding vs actuals, leveraging project management reports, align to reporting cadences.
  • Translate governance into project processes, gates, approvals, auditability, author SOPs, Runbooks and conduct user training.

Requirements:

  • 6 - 10 years in project portfolio management, project controls, 3 years hands on project management software configuration and admin.
  • Strong cost management, budgeting, forecasting and EVM knowledge, monthly close processes.
  • Proven integration experience with SAP, SFDC, EDW, Snowflake, IICS or similar ETL ability to define source to project management mappings.
  • Reporting skills, native plus Power BI, Tableau for enterprise distribution.
  • Solid SQL data modeling fundamentals, Agile delivery, Scrum, SAFe.

Align to time zones as needed. Engagement contract via subcontractor vendors urgent need.
