Backend Developer Position

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our team. As a key member, you will design and scale APIs, services, and data pipelines that power learning for millions of users.

Our ideal candidate is passionate about experimenting with new technologies and iterating quickly to achieve impactful results. They will be responsible for building robust and efficient systems that meet the demands of our fast-paced environment.

To excel in this role, you will need strong experience in backend development, preferably with Node.js (NestJS/Express.js). Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, CloudFront) and SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB) is also essential. Understanding of RESTful architecture, WebSockets, and event-driven systems is crucial.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and scale APIs, services, and data pipelines.
  • Rapidly build proof-of-concepts and ship features with the team.
  • Optimize system performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Own Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), monitoring, integrations, and documentation.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in backend development.
  • Strong expertise in Node.js (NestJS/Express.js).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, CloudFront).
  • Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
  • Understanding of REST, WebSockets, and event-driven systems.
