Job Description

The Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve is a unique ecosystem home to nearly 110 endemic plant species. The park has been a pioneer in conservation, research, and education since its inception.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and administer all activities under Society governance, reporting directly to the Chairperson.
  • Develop and execute strategies for resource mobilization.
  • Liaise with stakeholders for project approvals, governance, and compliance.
  • Manage operations, staff, and programs, ensuring sustainability and impact.
  • Coordinate with departments for project execution.
  • Drive initiatives for education and outreach.
  • Strengthen partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, and institutions.
  • Promote awareness through workshops, eco-activities, exhibitions, and training.
  • Ensure statutory compliance and oversee day-to-day operations, stakeholder engagement.
  • Represent the park at regional, national, and international forums on biodiversity conservation.
Candidate Profile:
  • Minimum 15 years of senior-level experience in reputable organizations.
  • Strong background in resource mobilization, CSR tapping, and stakeholder management.
  • Proven expertise in governance, compliance, and program execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise with government bodies, civil society.
  • Strong leadership, documentation, and reporting skills.
